Psychologist Session

At the heart of my practice is a simple truth: life is full of ups and downs, and none of us have it all figured out. What’s important to me, and what I hope will be important to you, is the space we create together—a space where you can feel heard, understood, and safe.

Like you, I’m human—imperfect, always learning and evolving.

I don’t have all the answers, but I am here, and I’m ready to listen, really listen, to whatever you need to share.

About me

I came to counselling later in life, after spending 15 years in the Pharmaceutical Industry with a background in Biochemistry. My journey toward becoming a counsellor began through a personal experience of my own. I was at a difficult point, facing the breakdown of one of the most important relationships in my life, feeling lost and uncertain about the future.

What made all the difference for me was having someone to truly listen, without judgment. In those sessions, I found the courage to voice things I hadn’t even admitted to myself. That experience was transformative, but it wasn’t until years later, as I progressed in my career, that I realized how deeply meaningful it had been.

As I moved into leadership roles, I discovered a passion for coaching and mentoring others, which led me to volunteer at Barnardo’s, supporting young adults transitioning out of care. Wanting to be more effective in that work, I took my first counselling skills course—and from there, my path to becoming a counsellor became clear.

I went on to specialise in Psychodynamic Counselling, completing my diploma at Chelmsford Counselling Foundation (CCF), where I also worked as a trainee counsellor alongside a placement at Suffolk Mind. Today, I’m a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Black, African and Asian Therapy Network (BAATN), and I split my time between my private counselling practice and independent business consulting.

Though my work is a big part of my life, I always make time to enjoy the outdoors. Having grown up in the Caribbean, I love the warmth, but after living in England for nearly 20 years, I’ve grown to appreciate the ever-changing British weather—yes, even the rain!

Like you, I’m human—imperfect, always learning and evolving. I don’t have all the answers, but I am here, and I’m ready to listen, really listen, to whatever you need to share.
